Folding Mango Wooden Garden Trug

This is a traditional style wooden trug with the modern convenience of being able to fold neatly away for storage. Elegantly styled this is an extremely useful item in the garden for a variety of tasks; to hold small tools and gloves or to hold harvested items when gathering fruit flowers or vegetables. The mango wood used comes from sustainable sources. Mango trees are huge trees initially grown for their fruit. Once the trees reach their maximum height and they stop producing fruit the farmers cut them down in order to make room for new mango trees that can produce the fruit. The older trees are then used for making wood products providing an additional revenue for the farmers and making good use of the resource. The plantations are typically managed very carefully with mango trees continually being replenished. The sustainable forestry on mango plantations also prevents other types of hard wood tree such as teak or mahogany from being harvested from fragile forests. Dimensions: 29.5 x 15.6 x 22cm high.
